Back to School Outfit Ideas (for warm weather)

Hey loves. We made it to Friday, can I get a hallelujah! Today I have four different back to school outfit ideas to share with you. I kept these pretty practical for college students. I also did outfits for warm weather because lets be real, it is still steaming hot the first couple weeks of school. I will do another post with fall outfit ideas.

For this first outfit I kept it very casual and very close to my personal style. I have on this adorable wrap bodysuit from Copper Fox. I paired it with some high waisted girlfriend jeans that I talked about in my Back to School Jeans post. To finish the look I have on a simple pair of white sneakers. I love these ones because they instantly make your outfit look more sporty and relaxed. The pop of red on the sneaker definitely ties in the bodysuit.  This outfit is so easy to put together and something similar to what I would wear multiple times a week.

Up next I have a super cute romper. I love rompers because they are so easy to style and great if your in a rush in the morning. This romper is from Urban Outfitters. It’s a great piece to transition from summer to fall. If it is a little colder you can pair it with a long sleeve top and you’re set. Sense it is still 90 degrees here in New York, I paired it with a simple white t-shirt and some slip on sneakers from Steve Madden. White sneakers are a must have for back to school. I have about three pairs that I switch up depending on the vibe my outfit. This outfit is more chill and relaxed so slip on sneakers are perfect!

Up next I have a dressier outfit. This is perfect if you’re going to class and then meeting up with friends or going to an event. Just switch out the sneakers for sandals or a kitten heel and you’re ready to go! I have this stripped crop top from Forever 21 paired with a super cute black denim skirt from Copper Fox. I have on the same Steve Madden sneakers because I walk around campus all day so sneakers are a great option for me. I also like how the sneakers made this outfit more casual. This outfit could easily be worn out at night and I love the versatility. I threw on this denim jacket also from Copper Fox because it can be chilly in class sometimes.

Lastly I wanted to Include a more professional outfit, for my girls who have meetings in between classes or even job interviews. I am super busy going to class, interviews, meeting with professors and doing work for my internship. Some days I like to be comfortable but more professional incase I have “business” to handle. This jumpsuit is by Free People and sold at the boutique I work at Copper Fox. This could be dressed up even more by putting on a collared shirt. You can even pair this with a long sleeve button up shirt when it gets chillier out. I think this is definitely a closet staple for business students. I have this paired with a simple white t-shirt to keep it semi casual and a pair of black pumps. For walking around campus I would switch out the pumps for flats.

Distressed Denim & Blush

Hey everyone! I hope you’ve had a good week so far. I couldn’t be more thrilled that it is almost the weekend. Today I am sharing another outfit of the day.

Like I said in my Favorite Jeans – OOTD post I found the best vintage style jeans. This is another pair of those vintage jeans. I love the all of the detailing on these, between the distressing and the two toned bottom. These are also from Express they’re affordable and fit me so well.

This outfit is super casual as I am most days. I wore some rose gold slides by Steve Madden and a brown Michael Kors bag for some structure. On top I have on a blush pink tank from Forever 21. I have been wearing this tank in every color all summer long. I am beyond obsessed with the straight neckline. I think it makes my outfits look a little more put together, rather than wearing an actual cami.

Where are your favorite jeans from? I’d love to check them out 🙂

3 Days in Vegas

Hey everyone! Hope your week is off to a good start. I am just getting back into the swing of things after a fun filled weekend in Las Vegas. This post is a little different from others because it is basically just going to be a bunch of pictures showing bits and pieces of my weekend. I’m going to show you a couple of outfits, what I ate, and other random pictures from my trip.

What I wore

Outfit 1

My top and skirt are both from Forever 21 and super affordable. My lace bra is from Victoria’s Secret and my shoes are from Charlotte Russe. I thought this outfit was perfect for a night out in Las Vegas because it is definitely more on the sexy side. Really anything goes in Las Vegas so wear what makes you feel comfortable.

Outfit 2

This was our last night out and I wanted to be a little more dressy. This jumpsuit is my new obsession. It fit like a glove. It was the perfect length and all around so comfortable to dance in all night. The jumpsuit and belt are both from Express and my shoes are Charlotte Russe once again.

Bathing Suit

This suit isn’t the most exciting but I am absolutely obsessed with this top so I wanted show it. Believe it or not it is from Target, which means it is super affordable. Finding cute swim wear this summer was definitely a struggle for me. When I found this at Target for less than $20 I was so happy. For bottoms I’m just wearing some cheeky black ones from Victoria’s Secret.

The Rest

This trip was so much fun and I am so thankful to have experienced all Las Vegas has to offer. We stayed at the MGM Grand hotel and it was absolutely amazing. There are so many options for food and it was all amazing! The location was perfect we were close to everything! There is something for everyone at the MGM. If you like hip-hop, country, house music they have it all. Obviously there is a huge casino and so many little bars throughout. I would definitely recommend MGM to anyone going to Las Vegas. Here a few more pictures from my trip!

A huge thank you to one of my best friends Ashley for making this happen! I am so thankful for my friends and opportunities I have been given this year so far. This year has definitely been a roller coaster and without friends I don’t know where I would be today. My heart is so full and I’m SO thankful! ❤

Cheers to girls trips! Are you headed anywhere exciting this summer?

Track Outfit Ideas

And there off! Track season is definitely here and I couldn’t be more excited. I love getting dressed up and going up to the track with all of my friends for a day of fun. We eat, gamble, laugh and just enjoy time with each other. With all of us being so busy between work, and school it’s rare we ever get to all spend the day together. So when we do, we go all out.

There are two types of people at the track. The ones who go in jeans and a t-shirt, and then theres us haha. But we have fun dressing up and taking pictures and thats all that matters.

Up first we have Cassie and Meghan wearing adorable mini dresses. Cassie is wearing the cutest little red dress from Saratoga Sundress.  The straight across neckline is really trendy and so flattering. This dress has such a cute but simple back detail which really adds to this simple mini dress. Meghan is wearing a babydoll style mini dress from Charlotte Russe in my favorite color at the moment, yellow! Yellow looks amazing on her skin tone. I love the low cut neckline to make the innocent babydoll dress a little more sexy.

Next up meet Ashley and Katie wearing super cute rompers. These rompers are both so different but both so cute! Ashley is wearing this super cute black and white floral printed romper from Saratoga Sundress. I thought this was absolutely adorable because it looks like a dress but it’s a romper. Katie is wearing an adorable romper from a local boutique Copper Fox. I love blue and white stripes for the track. This romper is really light weight and perfect for any day time occasion.

Then we have Courtney. Wearing a gorgeous high-low styled maxi dress from Express. I absolutely the color and style of this dress. This dress is longer but it is super light weight. So on a hot day like today, it isn’t uncomfortable to wear. She paired it with some brown strappy sandals, but it would also look great with tan heels.

Lex is wearing the most adorable off the shoulder dress! I am in love with this dress.  The detailing is so beautiful and it fit her so well! This dress screams track season to me. Something about blue and white stripes makes me think of the track. Her dress is from Forever 21.

Lastly, theres me. Im wearing an off the shoulder bell sleeve romper from Saratoga Sundress. This romper is gorgeous and it is so lightweight. I love that the top is tight and I don’t have to pull it up all day long. The bell sleeves add such a cool twist and really make take this outfit from any plain ol romper to the next level.

An Affordable Find

Happy Monday everyone! 🙂 I hope you are recharged and ready to conquer this week. I am feeling a little overwhelmed because I am going to Las Vegas at the end of the week and I’m already having the packing panic. Anyways, I just wanted to share this outfit I wore on Saturday with you all.

I found this romper for less than $20 at Marshalls. If you haven’t been to your local Marshalls or TJ Maxx in a while I highly suggest stopping by. I find so many hidden gems there. I wore this romper to the farmers market on Saturday and got so many compliments. I love the minimal floral print. It is mostly white with a few pops of color making it perfect for day time activities.  The bell sleeves make it look much more expensive than it really was. This piece is really well made and such a good find. It even has pockets! Could it get any better?

Outfit of the Night

Hey Everyone! Today I’m sharing an outfit of the night look. I wore this out with friends for a few drinks. When I go out at night I like to be a little dressier but still casual and comfortable. Comfort is key.

bobbles and lace 2

Lets start with accessories, to accessorize I wore some gold hoop earrings, my personalized name chocker from Brook & York , and my favorite gold fossil watch.

On top I just have on a basic white cropped tank from Express. I love this tank, I have it in multiple colors. It is definitely a staple in my summer wardrobe. They can be paired with just about anything and they’re super affordable.

bobbles and lace 3 Now these pants are to die for! I am obsessed with these. I got them last summer from the most adorable boutique in Boston called Bobbles & Lace. They aren’t available anymore but you should check out their website, they have the cutest stuff ever! I love that they look like a skirt but then when you walk they open up and show your legs. They have little shorts on the inside to keep you covered!

These pants were a great investment and I wear them every chance I get. If you have an event coming up I highly recommend checking out Bobbles & Lace because they have great pieces at great prices.

I completed this outfit with my Kate Spade bag and some black slide on sandals.

OOTD-Embroidered Jeans

Hey loves! Today I styled these super cute embroidered jeans. Embroidered detailing is very popular these days. Embroidery is on just about every piece of clothing they make. I love that these jeans are mom style. They make my butt look great and they fit like a glove.

My jeans are from Pacsun a couple months back but like I said you can find these kinds of jeans everywhere. I will link a few down below for you. I love how simple and cute the embroidery is on these jeans.

I paired these jeans with a simple purple tank top from Urban Outfitters. This tank matches the flowers on the jeans perfectly. I wore some Steve Madden slip on sneakers and aviator sunglasses. I really wanted to make this outfit super casual and I think the sneakers really gave it that vibe.

Sunday Style

Hey loves! I decided to do something a little different. I’m starting a series on my blog called “Sunday Style” where I show you guys my typical Sunday. I’ll show you my outfit, whether I get into actual clothes that Sunday or stay in my workout clothes. I’ll show you what I eat and any activities I do. I want to be more personal on here so I think Sunday Style will show you guys into my real life.

I like to really take extra time for myself on Sunday’s so this is Sunday, my style.

Sunday Style

  • This particular Sunday I spent my day outdoors being active so I didn’t wear a super cute outfit or anything. These workout leggings are from Kohl’s and are actually really good quality! My Calvin Klein hat is from Pacsun and my shirt is thrifted. This backpack is probably my favorite piece I’ve bought all year. I wear it to music festivals, when I go out at night, shopping, or even hiking. It is so versatile and I love it. They come in all colors and price ranges, mine is $24.99 from Marshalls. But I linked a similar one.

Sunday Eats

  • After spending the day hiking I went out to lunch and caught up with a friend. Going out to lunch is one of my favorite things to do with friends. I got this delicious chicken salad. 🙂

Sunday Funday

  • I went on a hike at a trail a little ways from home. It was so peaceful and so beautiful. Like I said in my HOW TO: Get Through a Heart Break post I love doing something outdoors on Sundays. It gets me back in tune with myself and focuses me for the week. I love starting my week with a clear head and letting go of all of the stress from the previous week.

I hope you guys enjoyed my first post in Sunday Style, let me know what you think below. What did you do this Sunday?
